At Best Behaviour K9, we appreciate that when it comes to the behaviour of a dog and it’s interaction with the human family/pack members, every situation is different. With this in mind, we aim to offer an individual and personalised service tailored to help owners deal with their dog’s unwanted behaviours . All rehabilitation consultations take place in your home. These sessions last a minimum of two hours. During the visit we will observe your regular routine and the way in which you interact with your pet. This helps us identify the main cause of the unwanted behaviour and develop a workable rehabilitation programme for you to follow.  We also give you an insight into canine behaviour and aim to help you understand more about why we need to communicate in the right way.

At the conclusion of the consultation , we will discuss the options of any further services required to help resolve the issues. Behaviours we are usually asked to assist with are listed below, however this list is not exhaustive:

  • Pulling on the lead.
  • Excessive barking.
  • Fear/anxiety/phobias.
  • Aggression towards people.
  • Aggression towards other dogs.
  • Destructive Behaviour.

Working with you and your dog, we will teach you how to communicate clearly and consistently with your pet in a way that will minimise unnecessary confusion and frustration. We will help you build a loving and respectful relationship with your best friend, which will help alleviate the unwanted behaviour.
